Itinerario Detallado

Day 1 :
Arrival in Cusco and First Glimpse of the City

Meet and greet at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, followed by a private transfer to your hotel in the historic center of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. After settling in and resting briefly to acclimate to the altitude, you’ll begin a leisurely cultural tour of the city.

The tour begins at the Inca Museum, one of the most important venues for understanding the history and evolution of Andean civilizations. Its galleries display textiles, ceramics, tools, and ceremonial objects that reveal the cultural richness of the pre-Inca and Inca worlds.

Afterward, enjoy a guided walk through Cusco’s historic Plaza de Armas, surrounded by colonial architecture, historic churches, and vibrant local life.

The day ends with a return to the hotel to rest and prepare for the experiences that will continue to explore the culture, history, and landscapes of the heart of the Peruvian Andes.

Day 2 :
Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, and the Sacred Valley

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a cultural tour of some of Cusco’s most iconic sites.

The first stop is the impressive Qorikancha, an ancient temple dedicated to the sun god Inti. This site was one of the most important religious centers of the Inca Empire and today stands out for the perfect blend of Inca and colonial architecture, as the Convent of Santo Domingo was built atop its foundations.

The tour then continues to the monumental fortress of Sacsayhuaman, famous for its enormous, perfectly fitted stone blocks—one of the masterpieces of Inca engineering.

Next, you’ll visit the ceremonial complex of Qenqo, known for its carved rock formations and ancient ritual spaces.

After the tour, you’ll enjoy lunch and be transferred to the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you’ll spend the night in a hotel surrounded by nature.

Day 3 :
Ollantaytambo and Train Ride to Machu Picchu

After breakfast, depart for the historic town of Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca towns in Peru. Its cobblestone streets and irrigation channels retain the original layout from the Inca era, offering a unique cultural experience.

Here, you’ll visit the impressive Ollantaytambo Archaeological Complex, a monumental fortress strategically built into the mountainside. Its agricultural terraces, ceremonial temples, and massive stone blocks showcase the advanced engineering of the Inca Empire.

After the visit, transfer to the train station to begin a spectacular scenic journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

The train follows the course of the Urubamba River, passing through mountains covered in vegetation and high jungle landscapes.

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time to rest or explore the charming town surrounded by nature.

Day 4 :
Machu Picchu Circuit 2 and Return to Cusco

After breakfast, transfer to the bus station to travel to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the world’s most impressive wonders.

The guided tour follows Circuit 2, considered one of the most comprehensive routes through the archaeological complex. During the tour, you’ll explore agricultural terraces, ceremonial temples, Inca plazas, and panoramic viewpoints offering classic views of the citadel surrounded by mountains.

The guide will share information about the history, architecture, and worldview of the Inca Empire, revealing the cultural and spiritual significance of this extraordinary site built in the 15th century.

After the visit, descend by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the scenic train back to Ollantaytambo.

From there, private transfer to Cusco for hotel accommodation.
